Credentials

Dr. Fernandez-Abril graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School, the United States’s oldest dental school, after receiving a Bachelors of Science from the University of Florida. He gravitated toward the warm weather of northern Florida after four icy winters in Baltimore.

Sacrificing a year in private practice, he honed his skills in a general practice residency (GPR) program at the veterans hospital in Gainesville, Florida. It was in Gainesville where he furthered his interests in restorative dentistry and oral surgery, and discovered a special knack for helping patients in need.

Jorge was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and was raised in Miami since the age of nine. He attended Belen Jesuit Prep for high school. Following in his older sister’s footsteps, he went on to dental school. Dr. Fernandez-Abril takes pride in listening to his patients, providing honest assessments, and performing quality dentistry with the utmost care and understanding. He believes in constantly developing his skills and keeping up to date with the newest research in dentistry.

Dr. Fernandez-Abril is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and is licensed in the state of Florida. He is an avid sports fan, and actively follows the Marlins, Dolphins, and Heat.
